Before I start, I’d like to give you some advice. If you choose to use
an internet base layout – they sometimes get very popular, so people
learn to handle and beat them. It always helps to adapt them a little
bit.
Anti-Dragon TH8 War Base Layout
This base defends well against the still popular Dragon attacks at
Town Hall 8 with the Air Defenses that are impossible to take out in
advance and the pathing on the outside that will make it impossible for
the Dragons to find a way in.

Anti 3 Star Allrounder War Base Layout TH8
The Town Hall might look easy to get but it’s harder than you think
to get the troops into that section. The Mortars on the outside will
mislead defense-targeting troops and makes funneling the outside harder
and the chances to defend higher for you

Trophy Base TH8 Design
This base here works well for trophy pushing and with the
well-protected Town Hall in the core. The storages will slow down
attacking forces and your defenses will have more time to deal damage.
Hybrid Town Hall 8 Farming Base
For
defending your trophies or also your resources, I recommend you this
base with a variety of compartments that will help you defend the most
important structures in your base – your Town Hall and the Dark Elixir
Storage unit.
TH8 Farming Base Layout
For Town Hall 8 I got a nice Farming Base here for you that will
protect your Trophies and your precious Dark Elixir as well. Many
attackers will fall for the trap layout at the bottom and think they can
break through to the Dark Elixir Storage easily, but this base design
will funnel the troops far away from there
