According to stats published by Valve, Steam just hit a record 20 million concurrent users this weekend.
The spike is likely the result of enforced quarantines and lockdowns all over the world, due to the pandemic COVID-19 coronavirus. And with people stuck at home, they’re obviously turning to gaming to pass the time.
On a game by game level, even CS:GO, which is now eight years old, just set a new achievement, hitting one million concurrent players.
For comparison, this time last year, Steam peaked at 15 million users for the month of March.
